| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Water Notice - Water Outage DETAILS: Jim indicated on 11/22 at 2 pm that Corbett is issuing a boil water order until further notice to an estimated 200-400 connections on East Columbia Historic River Hwy, near Littlepage and Evans Road. Main line has a leak, and users will be without water. I referred Jim to our practices for service outages due to reduced pressure events and boil notice templates for this case. Users being called individually, beginning at 11 am on 11/22. Repairs being made today (11/22) to restore service. Will try and flush, then verify adequate pressure and chlorine residuals ASAP. Jim will then take coliform sample. Hes anticipating boil notice possibly extending over the weekend if lab cannot read bacteria sample over Thanksgiving Holiday. ACTION NEEDED: Corbett to continue to reach every affected user to inform to boil water until further notice. Corbett will consult with DWP once service, pressure and residuals are restored, and bacteria samle can be taken. I provided Jim with OERS phone number to speak to a DWP manager from 11/24-11/27 in case necessary for a consult, and suggested District be prepared for media interest given the long holiday weekend and scope of potential impact. | ||
