| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Water Notice - Update DETAILS: Phil contacted me to update me on the status of corrective actions pursuant to the boil notice posted on 11/23 for high turbidity and low chlorine residuals. Filtered turbidity values are down to around 0.1 NTU as of 11/25, as system has been manually calculating dose of coagulant using jar tests, as the Streaming Current Meter has not been working. Chlorine dose is up to 1.25 mg/L at plant, and up to 1.3 mg/L in the system. System has flushed out bad water. Two routine coliform samples came back coliform absent from lab on 11/29 at 10 am. I indicated system had addressed problem adequately and boil notice may be lifted. ACTION NEEDED: Phil to work with other Midland reps to phone users that boil water notice has been lifted. DWP to conduct water system survey on 11/30 to further evaluate system protocols for high turbidity and low chlorine residual at the plant. | ||
