| Details: | SUMMARY: Well Assessment Monitoring results included one positive for E. coli DETAILS: Dave Embleton called our Springfield DWP office and spoke to both Tom Pattee and myself about the assessment monitoring results received today for their Thurston #5 well (one sample showed E coli). Dave will be taking 5 confirmation samples at that well today, so the lab results will be available sometime tomorrow, Saturday. Dave was unsure how to prepare for any consequences of those results during the weekend (if they confirm the presence of EC). He said he does have people "on call" on the weekend. I suggested he could either take the samples now and shut that well off today for the whole weekend, or wait until the results come in tomorrow and call in an employee to shut it off, if needed. Dave also spoke to Tom Pattee about the consequences down the line if EC is confirmed in that well (evaluate for surface water influence, corrective action, etc.) ACTION NEEDED: Await confirmation sample results | ||
