Details: | SUMMARY: Response to boil order - low pressure DETAILS: After consultation with Columbia County, I spoke with park contact-Joey Goulant as the system replaced controls on 3,000 gal tank to ensure between 40 and 65 psi in the system and repaired a few broken water lines, and has restored adequate service to all users as of 5/17, after service was interrupted earlier. This chlorinated system, has been detecting a chlorine residual in the order of 2-3 ppm throughout the system, including at the far end of the distribution, from 5/17 through 5/20. The water has been flushed by normal use given the small size of the storage tank, since the loss in system pressure. Two coliform samples taken on 5/17 both returned coliform absent on 5/21. System has referred to DWP-developed BMPs to address loss in pressure system. I left a message for system operator in direct responsible charge Magar at 503 929-1094, that the boil order may be lifted. ACTION NEEDED: System to notify users that boil water notice may be lifted. System to take June coliform sample early in month and ensure that chlorine residual is noted on the sample sheet with field measurement, and continue to measure and record chlorine residuals with approved kit throughout park. DWP to support Columbia County with system operation issues. |
