Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The City of Banks owns and operates a water system that serves 1,450 people. The City has two sources, a series of springs and a groundwater well. The springs are considered a surface water source. Treatment is achieved through a slow sand filtration system. Following filtration, the treated water enters a 500,000- gallon reservoir. A recent construction project will change the location of the disinfection from the current, 75,000-gallon reservoir/clearwell, to the 500,000 gallon tank. Disinfection will be by on-site generated NaOCI. The City contacted HBH to provide a contact tracer study on the new disinfection system. HBH performed an initial site visit to determine the best method to perform the test and coordinated with Tom Tuski (City of Banks) and the City’s design engineer to develop the methodology. ACTION NEEDED: Perform tracer study. |
