| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Received notice that 3/5 routine samples for July had tested positive for coliform. Have reissued the tier 2 notice. I spoke with Betty the afternoon of 7/3 and she will work with Colemans to reshock the system after the holiday on 7/5. She also indicated she would notify the residents and shut down well 2 so that only well 1 was supplying the water needs. Situation appears under control for the 4th of July holiday. Spoke with Jim from Colemans 7/9 and he had reshocked the system both the tank and distribution on 7/5 and had allowed it to sit for 4 days. He indicated Judy would flush the system the morning of 7/9 this well is still offline for the residents. He also indicated he had found the presence of slugs on the inside of the lid for the storage tank and this might be the potential source of contamination. Spoke with Judy later this morning and she confirmed with me the system had been shocked and flushed out already. She indicated she will take one test next week to see if the shocking worked and then follow up with tests in August. At this time the system has taken the necessary response and issued two tier 2 notices in response to the situation. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to monitor the situation as necessary. 5 more tests will be taken in August 2012 | ||
