Details: | SUMMARY: Discussion on resolving violations, removing public notice DETAILS: Nancy called regarding removal of public notice. She provided two repeat coliform samples taken 8/6/12 with negative results. She also provided copies of August and September monthly disinfection reports showing a minimum of .5 chlorine residual was maintained. The required minimum is .4 chlorine residual, as outlined in the plan review approval letter from Scott Curry. On 9/20/12 I spoke with Butch, the maintenance person at the hotel, about testing, reporting and the minimum required. ACTION NEEDED: A pool test kit is being used to take free chlorine. I specified that a test kit with a lower range of numbers must be obtained. Current kit range is .5 to 1.0 (color match) I provided info on the HACH test kit with free chlorine packets of reagent. Nancy ordered the kit.Submit monthly chlorine readings to DMCE, take a routine coliform sample by September 30th and submit results to DMCE, take nitrate sample by December 30th and submit result to DMCE. When test kit arrives, I will verify proper usage and requrest RTC, due to the reason for the public notice being resolved. |
