Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The City of Myrtle Point has a conventional water treatment plant which treats water from the North Fork of the Coquille River. The water system has 1,100 connections with just under 2,500 people. Disinfection is provided by a Miox mixed oxidant/NaOCI generation system after the rapid sand filtration. Chlorine contact takes place in a 95,000 Gallon clearwell and then a 1-MG and 2 MG reservoir operated in parallel. HBH was contacted by the City Engineer, Garrett Pallo to assist with a contact tracer study. Some initial coordination has been done between the City and DWP. The study appears to have numerous complications. HBH coordinated with Randy Whobrey regarding testing protocol. City requested a dry-run at the tracer test due to the apparent complex nature of the testing. ACTION NEEDED: Visit water system to verify test plan and complete tracer study. |
