Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up for 4 E Coli+ "specials" DETAILS: Received phone call from Matt stating that the concessionaire took 4 more follow up samples after chlorinating for (3) verified TC+ 8/13. System has already been closed down and no water available to all 3 campgrounds. Nothing obvious in the reservoir except a little algae. Hoodoo will chlorinate reservoir with 13 gallons 12% to about 70 ppm and get into distribution. They will then take another few follow up samples that I discussed with Matt should be labeled “specials” since the water is currentl not available to the public and is following a repair. This was discussed with DWP since the 4 e coli+ samples were improperly labeled as “specials” but should have been “repeats” since they were follow ups to the original routine from 8/8. We also discussed public notice and no boil water notice needed if water is not available, but a sign should be posted to let campers know what is happening and why the water is off and when it might be back on. ACTION NEEDED: Batch chlorinate, flush all chlorination water from the system and take additional samples to ensure water is bacteria free. Do not turn water on until all samples are absent. Post informational sign at Kiosks in addition to Public Notice required for TC+ from 8/13. |
