Details: SUMMARY: VOC detections alert DETAILS: I spoke with Al and got an update on the VOC issue. The system has decided to install treatment through filtration and submitted plans and received a conditional approval from DWP. The detection of benzene (0.0018)has gone down below the MCL(0.005). Al said he took another sample right after this one and the benzene level was back up to 0.0035. The current alert also has a detection for trichloroethylene below the MCL. Al said the treatment plant will be installed in about one week and he will take tests right away as required. Al also mentioned the owner of the property suspected to be causing the contamination said renters have admitted to dumping oil on the ground not far from the well. Al said he will be reporting this info to DEQ. The RAA for Benzene is still below the MCL. ACTION NEEDED: Follow up on Tx and levels of VOC in the source water.
