Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The Tri-City Joint Water and Sanitary Authority owns and operates a water treatment plant (WTP) and distribution system that serves a population of approximately 3,500 people through 1,500 connections. Water is treated from the North Umpqua River. Recent mechanical changes to the WTP allow it to operate at its full capacity (although it has not done so to date). Additionally, clearwell baffling was installed to increase contact time. Paul Wilborn with the system contacted the Circuit Rider (HBH) to provide assistance with performing a CT Tracer Study. HBH attempted to perform the contact tracer testing at the desired maximum operational flow for the water treatment plant. Unfortunately, intake issues prevented the plant from being able to cooperate at this level.Perform tracer testing when the intake flow is able to keep up with maximum plant production rate. ACTION NEEDED: Perform tracer testing when the intake flow is able to keep up with maximum plant production rate. |
