| Details: | SUMMARY: Results from Confirmations Samples from Source Wells DETAILS: I called Melvin to discuss results from confirmation samples on Well #1 (SRC-AA) and Well #3 (SRC-AC). Melvin indicated that he had received the results from the lab (as DWS did as well). I asked if/when he was planning on doing corrective action. He indicated that he planned on shocking Well #1 (SRC-AA) - all five confirmation samples were positive for both total coliform and E coli - on Sat morning. I reminded him that the boil water must stay in effect until he completes shocking the well, flushed the chlorinated water through the system until the chlorine residual is non detectable, then collect at least one sample that comes back coliform free. Since the earliest he can have a sample analyzed is Monday - the boil water must remain in effect until at least Tuesday upon receipt of the sample results. He verbally confirmed that the boil water notification had been issued. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of post corrective action coliform sampling. | ||
