| Details: | SUMMARY: Main repaired - boil water notice lifted DETAILS: I spoke to Jim at 10 today to discuss the two coliform tests taken Fri 12/7, that returned coliform absent on 12/8 around 2pm. This was after the main break and ensuing boil water notice to approx. 200 affected connections distributed on 12/6. System had flushed out water and verified chlorine residual and adequate pressure prior to collecting sample. Jim lifted boil water notice via phone calls to affected users in the evening of 12/8. Two samples were routines and collected at the fire station and the District Office. ACTION NEEDED: I indicated to Jim importance of consulting with DWS after sample results received and prior to lifting boil water notice to affected users. DWS to support District in implementing DWS-developed Best Management Practices-BMPs for future similar episodes, which require consultation with DWS prior to notifying users water is safe to drink. | ||
