Details: SUMMARY: Project Cost Estimating DETAILS: The Union Gap Water District buys water from the City of Sutherlin and must raise the service level for the majority of its customers. That is accomplished by a booster pump that pumps the water supplied by the City of Sutherlin to a storage tank that is located at a higher elevation. This will provide the required service level for the District. The existing 34,000 gallon water storage tank was inspected and found to have significant rust. The coating was patched five years ago and given an additional five years of useful life. The tank needs to be replaced with a new water storage tank that will not require significant maintenance. In addition, the existing booster pumps were installed in 1983 and have reached the end of their design life and need to be replaced. HBH was contacted by Ms Walkins for assistance with project cost estimates to use for funding applications. HBH met with Kim Walkins at the site to review as-built plans and visit the existing facilities. HBH prepared a coast estimate for the proposed improvements. ACTION NEEDED: Assist District with SDWRLF Letter of Interest (LOL)
