| Details: | SUMMARY: Annual assessment sample positive DETAILS: spoke to Jim Nash of Stutzman Pump prior to receiving the official alert for the Ecoli positive result. Jim is the third party contractor for sampling the system. He was instructed to take five confirmation samples. Spoke to Daniel in the state at Springfield office and received call about the alert from the DWP. The system has had Ecoli in the past from an assessment sample in February 2012 but the confirmation sample were negative. The system is chlorinated. I ran some contact time numbers and based on worst case scenario the system appears to have adequate contact. Time. Jim stated he took a routine distribution sample and the results were negative. I spoke to Jim about using good asseptic procedures when taking the five confirmation samples. The raw water sample tap is exposed on the exterior of the well housing. When the survey was conducted the interior of the well housing had evidence of rodent nesting. A boil water notice is not required at this time. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of the confirmation samples. The system was surveyed on November 16, 2012. I am working to complete it. | ||
