Details: SUMMARY: Total coliform DETAILS: Firm had a positive routine coliform sample for fourth quarter which they were just notified of today upon my call. Since it is Friday and the 31st of December is a Monday they will not be able to send in a water sample until Wednesday January 2nd.So no need to send in repeat samples. The firm will send in five routine samples if they are ok they will continue with regular quarterly testing second quarter. I did suggest that they consider taking the samples at the beginning of the quarters so they would avoid a violation for not being able to take the repeat samples. Stan did state that he took the sample at the wellhead and dropped the cap and then picked it up and blew it off and turned the sample in. Sounds like that could be the reason for the positive sample. ACTION NEEDED: Take five routines sample in January.
