| Details: | SUMMARY: Responded to High CL Residual DETAILS: I spoke with Randy Christian on 5/17/13 to find out why his system had such a high CL residual after the last analysis. The sample was taken on 5/9/13 and had a free chlorine result of 6.3 mg/L. The Feb (6.0 mg/L) and April (8.7 mg/L) samples were also high.The problem with the readings was that he was using concentrated Clorox bleach that was 30% stronger than the bleach they usually use. He has dumped some of the water and diluted the concentration and has been working on getting the concentration even lower. I tested the chlorine residual with our own test kit today and got a reading of 3.6 mg/L. I reminded him that the max was 4.0 mg/L. ACTION NEEDED: No action needed at this time, as the chlorine residual is now less than 4.0 mg/L. | ||
