| Details: | SUMMARY: System missed 18-week deadline to address significant deficiencies DETAILS: Received a photo of the resealed wellhead via email from Joe Wanamaker in July 2013. However, the survey found two significant deficiencies, and both needed to be addressed by the 18-week deadline (July 30, 2013) or be on an approved schedule for completion by that time. As there was no mention of addressing the 2nd significant deficiency, I emailed Joe today saying that I needed written documentation that both deficiencies had been addressed. If not, the water system would be violating the OARs and be subject to formal enforcement.They would be required to post a Tier 2 Public Notice, and negotiate a new date for completion. Joe phoned me back to say they had not completed the second task - developing an operations manual. Therefore, I filled out the Tier 2 Public Notice template that must be posted now at the park, and emailed it to Joe along with the agreement that the water system now has until Sept 30, 2013 to complete the Operation and Maintenance manual. Joe understands he needs to supply written verification that the manual has been completed and the date it was completed. I also sent him further references on what to put in the operations manual for this small groundwater system. ACTION NEEDED: Await notification that remaining significant deficiency has been addressed by end of Sept. | ||
