| Details: | SUMMARY: E coli positive alert response DETAILS: Received alert for E. coli positive result from Lostines monthly routine distribution sample collected on 8/19. There was a chlorine residual of 0.15 mg/l in the distribution at the time. The annual assessment samples were collected from each spring source in use and the well on the same day. The sample from spring 2 tested positive for E. coli. All the other sources tested positive for total coliform only. As there is adequate contact time for disinfection in the 8000 feet of 8-inch transmission line between the point of chlorination and town, and spring 2 will be valved off from the system, no boil order was issued at this time. Advised Shawn of the required four repeat samples and five confirmation samples from spring 2. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to collect four repeat samples in distribution, five confirmation samples from spring 2, and valve off spring 2. | ||
