Details: | SUMMARY: Diquate Confirmation Sample DETAILS: I received an alert on 10/23/13 for a detection of Diquat at 0.0004 mg/l from a sample taken at EP-B (Little Cr Rapid Rate Plant) on 9/18/13. I advised that a confirmation sample be taken as soon as possible to determine if quarterly monitoring is needed. A confirmation sample taken 12/4/13 from both the Little Creek source (SRC-BA) and the the entry point (EP-B) were both non-detect for Diquat. The average of the two entry point results is 0.0002 mg/l, which is less than the detection limit of 0.0004 mg/l for Diquat. I spoke to Dan Waterbury on 1/28/14 and notified him that due to the non-detect confirmation samples, quarterly monitoring for Diquat was no longer needed, but that quarterly monitoring for Xylenes and Ethylbenzene is still needed for 1st and 2nd quarter 2014 (see contact report dated 11/04/13 for more info on VOCs). ACTION NEEDED: Quarterly monitoring for Diquat is no longer needed due to non-detect confirmation sampling completed 12/4/13. Quarterly monitoring for Xylenes and Ethylbenzene is still needed for 1st and 2nd quarter 2014 (see contact report dated 11/04/13 for more info on VOCs). | ||
