| Details: | SUMMARY: Request assistance for alternate operation during Clearwell repair. DETAILS: Linda asked for help in determining how they could operate when they were repairing their Clearwell and still meet the required contact time. I responded that they do qualify for HBH technical support and they can work with Rob Henry (HBH) to ensure enough CT is achieved while you are re-lining the clearwell. Most likely HBH can calculate it on paper (a conservative CT estimate) if its primarily transmission line contact time. Hopefully Rob can just use a conservative baffling factor for their wet well and calculate the plugged flow in their transmission line. HBH can write a brief report for proper documentation and send a copy to our office. If Rob thinks a Tracer study is needed I will need to ask my manager to authorize one.
