Details: SUMMARY: Routine total coliform positive for sample date 5/27/14 DETAILS: The operator contacted the office about the total coliform positive. I let him know that the sampling protocol was the sample as the last coliform detection they had back in Dec. 2013. They are currently using wells # 2 & # 3. Well # 1 is not operational at this time. They will need 3 repeats & source samples at the active wells. They will also need 5 temp routine samples. We discussed possible causes of coliform. I let him know to look for leaks, re-evaluate sample sites & work done on the system. I also let him know that if the problem persists the circuit rider may be a good resource for the system. ACTION NEEDED: monitor follow up samples & respond as necessary.
