Details: | SUMMARY: Waterline Break DETAILS: I received email from Annette Pampush dated 7/9/14 that she forwarded from Nonda Zwald of Long Prairie WD (purchasing water system from City of Tillamook). Nonda indicated that due to a waterline break in the City of Tillamook, water was shut off to one of the Districts two water meters - resulting in low pressure in some of the Districts service area. Nonda indicated that there was never a total loss or negative pressure in their system. In response, I contacted Tim Lyda (City of Tillamook) this morning - as I was out of the office yesterday. Tim indicated that they had a waterline break in the transmission line from the Citys reservoirs to the City - resulting in a "controlled" shutoff of 5 service meters - two to the Long Prairie WD, 2 to the Port District, and one providing fire service to the South Prairie School. Tim will provide a written description of the events surrounding the waterline break when time allows - they are busy working on obtaining parts for the repairs this morning. Both the State and County are now aware of the break. Tim indicated that all shutoff was controlled with no loss of pressure requiring any boil water notifications. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for report from Tim. |
