Details: | SUMMARY: FU to water line break with Tillamook Water DETAILS: Response to report of no pressure from some homes:To restore pressure on the south end of our Long Prairie Water system we constructed a temporary connection into a neighboring system, Pleasant Valley Water. At the PV Water Clemens Corner booster station we attached a 2" CTS Poly line to the existing 2" blowoff, using an 18" brass nipple & 90* elbow. We sanitized the parts and line using 12.5% HCl. We laid 900 feet (9 - 100 sections) of the line across a field up to the existing intake meter for LP water on Brickyard Rd. This meter assembly includes a 2" blowoff, which we connected in to. After flushing the temporary line and attaching at the BY Rd blowoff with another 18" brass nipple and 90* we moved up the road and brought the HCl through the system, flushing out through our hydrant at 6615 Brickyard Rd. This is a temporary fix, and we still have less than an handful of consumers with very low pressure at their residences, however, we have NO patrons with less than 20 lbs at their meter. We look forward to getting back to normal when the City gets their line fixed and hooks us back up on the south end. ACTION NEEDED: none |
