| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on low pressure event DETAILS: Bob notified me today that there was low positive pressure experienced in the distribution system today due to excessive filling of a small ammonia tank for hydro testing through a connection at an area of Port Westward, that is not yet served by the system. Positive pressure was maintained, but did drop to around 8 psi. Water service pressure was not lost completely. The valve serving the connection was closed and pressure was restored throughout the distribution system to above the minimum required 20 psi. Bob and I discussed that since positive pressure was maintained throughout the episode, a boil water notice was not necessary. System followed DWS BMPs and a chlorine residual of 0.9 mg/L was detected in the distribution system. ACTION NEEDED: No specific action at this time. | ||
