Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The Panther Creek Water District owns and operates a surface water system that provides water to approximately 700 people through 326 connections. Water from Panther Creek is treated by slow sand filtration prior to disinfection with sodium hypochlorite. The system has two small reservoirs (about 5000 gallons) that are used for pump storage and contact time. Water is then pumped to a pair of reservoirs on the hill, which currently provide more contact time. The Circuit Rider was contacted by Laura Burns (OHA) to provide assistance with a contact tracer study to determine the amount of contact time in the system before the first user.Composed methodology. Completed preliminary tracer testing on the treatment plant tanks. Completed tracer testing on the system using the storage reservoirs. Composed tracer study. ACTION NEEDED: Address CWS and OHA comments on the tracer study. |
