| Details: | SUMMARY: COLIFORM TOTAL, (TCR) REPEAT DETAILS: 12-30-2014 Called Jeff Chastain and went over his Boil Water Notice for COASTAL MOUNTAIN STABLES, along with the additional sampling requirements (5 temporary routine samples) for January 2015. We went over shock chlorination for his water system and discussed why some of the samples came back positive for total coliform. Mr. Chastain said that the taps that were used to take samples are rarely used.I discussed the possibility of maybe putting the system on residual chlorine maintenance as a possible solution to handling total coliform. The water system used to have a snack shack, but no longer does. The facility distributes water bottles to guests who go on trail rides. The only water that the facility provides for consumption is for employee coffee. ACTION NEEDED: Post boil water notice within 24 hours at locations where people can see, then take 5 routine water samples in January 2015. | ||
