| Details: | SUMMARY: Met With City Administrator and Engineer DETAILS: Met with Hines’ City Administrator Joan Davies, Doug Ferguson, PE, and Tawni Bean with Infrastructure Finance Authority. Joan and Doug listed several problems with the drinking water system that need to be addressed but were not evaluated in their 2004 master plan, such as: high water loss due to leaks-- possibly using well 4 again (not in use now due to high arsenic, could possibly be blended with other sources)-- lack of easements for water lines that cross private property-- overly high water pressure in some areas reaching 120 psi yet low pressure at a few homes-- high failure rate of auto-read meters-- elevated water tower is past its expected useful life, and other issues. We agreed that a new master plan should be drafted to prioritize and define the scope of needed project(s). Tawni will start working with the city to obtain some funding for the new master plan.
