Details: | SUMMARY: Source E-coli sample from sample date 12-23-14 DETAILS: 12-29-14- The operator called to let me know that the source sample was positive for e-coli. The system has been on a self-imposed boil due to turbidity in the water after a recent heavy rain. Steve Gesdahl from Always pure recommended they go to a boil after finding all of the turbidity in the source water. This system was impacted by the 36 pit fire over the summer. The system sampled at the spring collection box.12-30-14- I went to the RV park to meet the management & the owners to discuss the ecoli detect. I let him know that if the spring is confirmed e-coli positive that they would need to figure if the system has enough CT to disinfect with a tracer study. We then looked at the spring box. It appeared that surface water could be seeping through a few seems that may be contaminating the water. It also appeared water could seep into the electrical wiring access into the spring collection box if the ground water was high enough. I let them know to take 5 source assessment samples from the spring box to confirm e-coli contamination. ACTION NEEDED: Monitor for results & respond as necessary | ||
