| Details: | SUMMARY: Requirements for Activation of Inactive Wells DETAILS: Luke called to discuss DWS requirements for Rockaway Beach WD to activate the East (SRC-AB) and West (SRC-AC) wells (both currently inactive). I told Luke DWS would need copies of results from each well for nitrate and coliform bacteria, and written request to activate wells per specified date. Luke also mentioned that the wells would be used for emergency use - but also indicated use may depend on primary stream flow source. Since the well water joins the surface water source pipeline before entering the treatment plant (I.e., both well water and surface water receive surface water treatment and disinfection) and therefore enter the distribution through the same entry point. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time. | ||
