| Details: | SUMMARY: routine total coliform positive result DETAILS: Michael returned my call from yesterday. He has ordered more bottles, but will not be able to submit the repeat samples now until Monday, when he intends to drive them all the way to the lab in Bend. He understands where the 4 samples need to be collected. He had never had a positive result before, so he was curious what would come next if the coliform is confirmed. I explained the basic framework of shock chlorinating the well and distribution on the phone. He has a storage tank. Although not yet required, I emailed him weblinks with guidance on disinfecting the system (from the seasonal system startup pages) and the Well Disinfection Technical Bulletin, as well as the template for the Total Coliform public notice.
