| Details: | SUMMARY: Asked about DBP schedule reduction DETAILS: Lakeside has been conducting quarterly DBP monitoring since 2013 (Stage 2 Rule). Marty called to ask when they may be able to reduce their sampling schedule. Their results are still more than half the MCL for TTHM, so they must remain on quarterly. I explained they will not be eligible for the reduction until their running annual average is below that one-half level (0.04 mg/L), so it would take a few lower samples before that average is down. Because their average is consistently above it, I suggested Marty discuss possible operational changes with a DWS staff person on the system optimization team.
