| Details: | SUMMARY: RT Sample Type Total Coliform positive-- sample date 7/09/2015. DETAILS: 3 of the 5 repeat samples collected for the month of July came back positive for total coliform. The water system was disinfected and entire system has been flushed back in June. Coliform fact sheet sent to firm back in June. MCL violation for month of July. The public notice has to stay posted until good samples are recorded . ACTION NEEDED: A triggered source sample must be collected. This was collected on 7/13/2015 and was positive. This requirement is to test the untreated source water (from a well) for coliform when "triggered." The trigger is a positive (present) result from a routine coliform sample in the distribution system. The water system has been disinfected and entire system has been flushed back in June. It was recommended that treatment of water either by UV light source of chlorine injection be implemented as when a public water system has unresolved violations for more than 5 months then violations must then be resolved within 90 days or the water system will be referred for formal enforcement. Coliform fact sheet sent to firm in June. The firm must collect five routine samples in the month of August, preferably first week. The public notice will need to stay posted until samples are absent of total coliform. | ||
