Details: | SUMMARY: 4-LOG Treatment Confirmed DETAILS: This system went on a boil water advisory after e-coli was confirmed through sampling on 12/8/14 from the Nelson Spring (SRC-AA). DWS received a memorandum from HBH Engineering on 4/15/15 confirming 4 log viral inactivation based on contact time achieved during flow through a pipeline during peak flow conditions. In the memo, HBH recommends a minimum chlorine residual of 0.8 mg/l at the entry point. On 4/16/15, DWS received a copy of a letter from Yamhill County to Hopewell Water Company informing them of the monitoring requirements and minimum chlorine residual to achieve 4 log viral inactivation for the Nelson Spring source and enclosing the necessary monthly monitoring form for their use. System has been conducting compliance monitoring since 4/1/15. ACTION NEEDED: System to continue daily compliance monitoring demonstrating that they meet a minimum entry point residual of 0.8 mg/l for 4-log viral disinfection at entry point A (EP-A) for the Nelson Spring. | ||
