| Details: | SUMMARY: E. Coli/Total Coliform Alert DETAILS: The system took repeat samples from a positive on 2/15/16 along with a triggered sample on Friday 2/25/16. The triggered sample was positive for TC and E.coli and one of the repeat samples was positive for TC only .The samples taken on Friday were either taken immediately before an electrical problem which lead to the activation of the pressure relief valve or the placement of a sleeve on the piping between the VT well head and the sample point. The piping did have a crack that was repaired on Friday which could have added to or caused the problem. The system took 5 E.coli confirmation samples under the GWR today and have issued a boil water notice to their customer base. They understand the PN will stay in effect as long as the E.coli detection is present. They also understand they need to issue a new TC PN and that must be in effect until completely resolved. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to follow up on monitoring and compliance status. | ||
