Details: | SUMMARY: Tech Consultation - L&C Compliance Steps DETAILS: David Griffin requested additional clarification regarding the required contents of the corrective action plan that Cascade Locks PWS is expected to submit within the current monitoring period (L&C). We explained that the corrective action plan is more of a ‘goal’ statement (not submitted engineered plans). The corrective action plan must also contain specific timeline benchmarks (particularly when engineered plans will be submitted). We also discussed the concurrent water system upgrades scheduled for this year. We emphasized that those modifications and associated plan review steps are now influenced by this process of reviewing optimal corrosion control. We strongly emphasized that NO modification to the system (including operational changes) should occur without first being formally reviewed, and approved, by the Oregon Health Authority (by the State regional engineer). ACTION NEEDED: ‘City Of Cascade Locks’ public water system needs to submit a corrective action plan to Hood River County Health Department by April 29th, 2016, which contains the following information: (1) Preferred method of corrosion control-- and (2) The date by which formal engineered plans will be submitted for formal review. ‘City Of Cascade Locks’ public water system must concurrently begin: (1) A (once every six-month period) lead & copper monitoring schedule-- and (2) Pursue the development of engineered (shovel ready) plans for corrosion control. | ||
