| Details: | SUMMARY: Significant Deficiency Follow-Up, Personal Conversation DETAILS: On 7/28/16, Mr. Littrell sent us an e-mail detailing a proposed corrective action plan for resolving the outstanding significant deficiency tied to the 3/28/16 Water System Survey. The plan detailed that:(1) Their plans were to install a water tight elbow to the well head to make the electrical conduit water-tight as required by rule.(2) This work would be done either by OPRD employees before 8/15/16. However, if employees missed that deadline, OPRD would solicit a private contractor to perform the work immediately after passing the 8/15/16 deadline. The work would then be completed as soon as possible by the private contractor.On 8/5/16, we performed a site-visit to ‘Viento’ State Park and discussed the issue further with Mr. Littrell. We did not make a regulatory decision until 8/10/16.On 8/10/16, Hood River County Health Department sent Mr. Littrell an e-mail announcing our decision to offer a compliance extension to 9/15/16. ACTION NEEDED: Resolve the outstanding significant deficiency as soon as possible. Hood River County Health Department will establish a new deadline for corrective action on: 9/15/16. This water system shall contact us and negotiate a new deadline if it becomes apparent that this deadline cannot be met. | ||
