Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on HAA5 - DBP level above the MCL DETAILS: After leaving a couple of voice messages, I emailed Bob after the Aug 19th, 0.0642 mg/L detection of haloacetic acids-HAA5, which is above the MCL of 0.060 mg/L. I indicated that compliance with the MCL is based on a running annual average of 4 quarters, and since the average is below 0.060 mg/L, there is no violation of the MCL at this time. Additionally, the Operational Evaluation Level of 0.060, based on the past 3 quarterly values, has not been exceeded, no report needed at this time. Therefore, system to stay on quarterly DBP sampling. ACTION NEEDED: System to stay on quarterly DBP sampling for both TTHM and HAA5 during November, February, May, August. DWS to provide support to assist Association in managing DBP levels. 9/7/16 update: I reached Bob and he indicated the recirculation pump that has been used to simulate flushing and move water through distribution system and tank had a pump that needed to be replaced during the August period. Pump fixed and system recirculating water at this point. | ||
