Details: | SUMMARY: 2 out of 10 Samples Taken 10/26/2016 Exceeded the MCL for Lead DETAILS: Sent email to Jennifer Johnson. With regard to Lead and Copper need to start measuring pH, sending in the pH reports and issuing public education. Following are some details.1. Water systems using corrosion control are required to measure and record pH at the entry point and a distribution point. Attached are two forms: one to record the pH at the entry point and one to record pH at the distribution point farthest from the well.Measure and record pH at 2 different sampling places:Entry point (before 1st user) at least once every 14 days-- send in monthly. Recommend measuring more often, like daily, because when the pH is below 7.2 every day, there is no record-- it is assumed the pH was out of compliance. Violations are issued for how many days the pH was out of compliance. Distribution point (1 sample point the farthest from the well) once 6 months apart-- send report in every 6 months.2. Reissue Public Education for lead and copper in schools.3. There will be a letter about lead and copper compliance to clarify what needs to be done by when. ACTION NEEDED: None. | ||
