Details: | SUMMARY: Water quality complaint DETAILS: Customer called to cite strong rotting odors from the tap in his unit. He is concerned about health effects and curious if he should have his tap water sampled. He had mentioned it to the system operator, but the issue still persists. We discussed the water systems compliance with monitoring requirements and exceedance of the arsenic maximum contaminant level. I also indicated the system is in the process of pursuing a new well, which he was aware of, to address the high arsenic. I encouraged the customer to try and pursue specific concerns with the operator as the general best course of action. ACTION NEEDED: No specific action at this time. DWS to provide support to caller if issues continue. |
