Details:	SUMMARY: complaint DETAILS: Spoke with Vic a couple times recently abouet a complaint we received regarding whaleshead pumping creek water into one of their drinking water wells. Kent Downs from Curry Community Health asked Vic about this complaint and Vic denied pumping any creek water into any of their wells. The local watermaster for WRD, Greg Wacker visited the site last wek and observed no pumping from the creek into any wells. When I spoke to Vic about this he adamantly denied pumping any creek water into their drinking water system, he did say he pumps water from a "spare cistern" nearby that is not physcially connected to the system into his truck and hauls that water to fill his chlorine tanks/storage tanks. He said he has only had to buy hauled water one time this year because they fixed a major distribution leak. The two new dug wells (SRC-AC ^ AD) Vic built last summer/fall are not producing as much as hoped so he is relying mainly on this "spare cistern" (SRC-AB), old dug well (SRC-AA) and upper spring (SRC-BA) for meeting summertime demands. Betsy Parry sent Vic a table/list that identifies which sources of water Whaleshead utilizes with SRC names and numbers, this is to prevent any future confusion with sample site locations. A letter was sent to Vic last week requiring MPA tests be conducted on the two confirmed EC-positive sources, (SRC-AA and SRC-BA), this is to determine if these two sources have surface water organisms. A site visit will occur in a couple weeks to assist the water system in all items relating to providing safe drinking water. ACTION NEEDED: collect two MPAs, continue routine monitoring and compliance monitoring requirements.
