Details: SUMMARY: Coliform Alert DETAILS: Beau received the alert on 08/17. Because of increased traffic in the area due to the eclipse and staff shortages with State Park employees, I advised the operator to not drive the repeat samples to Tigard the following day and instead wait until the following Wednesday when the lab would be picking up in Astoria. The operator thought the positive result may be due to poor sampling methods.After receiving the alert the operator drained the tank and filled it about two feet up with water and shocked the system. The residual at that time was measuring approximately .3. He rinsed the tank and filled it with treated water. He then ran the taps until he got a reading of 1.5 residual. ACTION NEEDED: Send in the repeat samples and continue routine sampling if the repeats are negative.
