| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive E.coli Alert Follow Up DETAILS: Repeat samples following 9/18 tc-positive routine all positive. 2 e.coli -positive and one tc-positive. Both well sources absent. Called operator, Dale, and we discussed chlorination of reservoir to 10ppm this morning and public notification. Dale will distribute boil water public notice via KTVZ, customer email list, personal contacts and sign boards around town. Deschutes county staff contacted all restaurants via phone and supplied OHA contaminated water fact sheet. I also contacted Dept. of AG to contact grocery store, farmer johns and cider manufacturer. Plan is to chlorinate reservoir and distribution over weekend, flush, ensure 0 chlorine residual and take follow up samples Monday if chlorine is all gone. Boil water advisory will persist until all additional samples are absent. Dale inspected reservoir today and is improving gaskets on access covers and will also install finer mesh screen on overlflow and vents. ACTION NEEDED: Chlorinate, flush, ensure 0 ppm chlorine and resample to show absent for bacteria before lifting boil water advisory. | ||
