Details: | SUMMARY: MPA Test DETAILS: MPA testing was conducted between October 31st and November 1st, by Civil West Engineering technician Jared Sylvester. The testing apparatus was connected to the spigot inside the pumphouse. The spigot is in a tee connected to the 2” PVC pipe that feeds the holding tanks uphill from the pump house. The pump was in continuous operation for the duration of the testing. The filter apparatus ball valve was manually adjusted, and bucket tested to allow for approximately .85 gpm, and a pressure of 10psi. The testing began at 1:15pm, 10-31-17.At 10:25am the following morning, the testing was discontinued, and filter collected. The total flow over 21 hours and 10 minutes was 1,129.9 gallons, for an average flow of .89 gpm. The filter was discolored due to high iron content, but flow rate remained consistent, per a second bucket test on day two, prior to discontinuing the test. The sample was packaged with ice and shipped via UPS overnight to Analytics Laboratories Inc. of Boise ID.The MPA test results were emailed to Jared Sylvester at Civil West Engineering Services 11-17-17, and then forwarded to Shawn Stevenson of the Oregon Health Authority. ACTION NEEDED: Additional testing will be conducted per OHA requirements, date and time TBD. |
