| Details: | SUMMARY: Broken main in Haven Acres - Part 3 DETAILS: By mid-afternoon, the City had agreed to repair the line. Joe Carlson had told them that they could still dispute the 9-29-09 letter even if they repaired the line - i.e. dont let the argument over the letter keep people from getting water at 20 psi. He told them hed hold them harmless on the repair (wouldnt use that against them to further prove Haven Acres is their responsibility). I called the two residents back and one of them told me that the Citys repair truck had just arrived and the City had told him water service would be restored by 5 pm. The City also issued a boil water notice, though the format is a bit funky but Joe is okay with that. I encouraged the residents to continue to discuss the issue with the City, and that long-term I couldnt predict which way the legal argument would go. ACTION NEEDED: Forward information to Evan Hofeld (DWP regional engineer) for further follow-up. | ||
