Assistance Type: | WATER QUALITY ALERT RESPONSE
Reasons: | Lead or Copper N/A |
||
Details: | SUMMARY: Lead & copper alert DETAILS: Received results from March tests. The samples demonstrate the water quality is not corrosive. This is good news for the system but will require you to continue to test for lead & copper on six month schedule for the next year. I believe the problem with the last sample was the possibility the water sat in the pipes to long prior to testing. The sample should be representative sample which I defined as a first draw , after a 6-18 hour detention time, 1 liter sample taken from the cold water tap from the kitchen or bathroom. You will be on six month testing for the rest of the year so the samples could be taken immediately. You will need two rounds in 2010 ACTION NEEDED: Resume 6 month lead and copper testing.
