Details: SUMMARY: Stage 2 DBPR SMP Assistance DETAILS: System requested assistance with the Stage 2 IDSE report that is due by 7/1/2010. The system did not collect any Stage 2 IDSE samples as required by the SMP submitted in 2008. DWP wants the system to re-do the SMP and submit if for approval. I met with Pete to review his original SMP and discovered no IDSE sampling had been conducted. I conducted an initial review of water quality data (chlorine residuals and previous DBP results) along with the distribution map where Stage 1 samples had been collected. Several Stage 1 samples were collected-- however, correct sample site determination was confusing as Pete has chosen two Stage 1 sample sites. I reviewed existing chlorine residual records and clarified where Stage 1 samples were collected with Pete in order to properly identify sampling locations for the new SPM. I corresponded with Carrie Gentry, DWP, via email regarding my findings and requested guidance. I completed the SMP and sent it to Carrie and she approved it on March 30. I sent a copy of the plan to the system with a letter, ACTION NEEDED: None at this time, unless requested.
