Details:	SUMMARY: DBP Assistance DETAILS: HBH was contacted by Debbie Dobbins of Old Mobile Park in regards to DBPs problems. The system operates on two wells that are chlorinated for residual prior to distribution. Their system serves 60 people through the primary distribution loop. There are no meters on the system. Debbie Dobbins requested that HBH look over the system to identify the source of the DBPs. Both wells are rather shallow at 70’ & 90’ and were installed in the 1940’s. The chlorine system was found to be pumping a higher concentration level then they had thought causing the chlorine residual to be near 2.0 mgl. The testing kit that was used onsite was found to have outdated reagent. Recommendations were made to lower the chlorine residual back down to 0.3-0.4 mgl and to replace their supply of chlorine reagent. ACTION NEEDED: None needed at this time.
