Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on toluene detect and update on on-line NTU meter DETAILS: Martin and I discussed the 9/3/14 0.0009 mg/L detect for toluene that was above the 0.0005 detection limit of 0.0005 mg/L, but less than the MCL of 1 mg/L. We discussed that since this value was in the range of the earlier detects when the system monitored quarterly, that the system would continue to monitor toluene annually with the VOC suite during 3rd quarter, the quarter that yielded the highest result. Martin also updated me that the on-line 1720E meter has been installed right after the filter and the electrical work is done. The drain to collect the water right after the filter and the valve to return water from the meter to the plant is getting completed, hopefully within a week. HACH will then come out to inspect and set up the instrumentation to begin using the meter. Martin will then call me when the meter is on-line and being used for compliance NTU readings every 4 hours of plant operation. ACTION NEEDED: Martin to contact DWS upon on-line meter up and running. DWS to conduct water system survey at that time, during 2014 calendar year. | ||
