Details: | SUMMARY: Pt. 2 - Meeting CTs after equipment failure - 9.25.14 DETAILS: [Continued from previous contact report, Part 1] The event caused no public health risk according to the information presented. Since the water entering the distribution system was unchlorinated for less than 4 hours and the water was sufficiently treated – at the very least upstream of the filters – no violations occurred. Lastly, the Drinking Water Program (DWP) was not notified of the event until it was discovered weeks later. Mike Greene, et al., has since reviewed chains of authority, notification responsibilities, and other communication protocols in an effort to eliminate any future miscommunications to DWP. Other automated alarms, etc. are also being considered for future. ACTION NEEDED: none beyond improving notifications of DWP |
